what happened to tuu kwah peng village had nothing to do with the english baker hanging himself

along wilson trail section 3. sai kung, new territories, hong kong.
december 2010.

================ ^.^=

according to the website wilson trail section 3 is considered "fairly easy". about a mile of it is in the mountains where small villages are hidden within. the views are nice and air fresh. when i arrived in early december i thought i'd use it as my daily jogging trail since the end of the section is where we live and it's very convenient. but after giving it three tries i decide the difficulty level deserves to be "not so easy". there are quite a few steep ascends, especially on way back. i abandoned it for flatter land in order to restore my confidence.

on weekends i hear the locals, mostly older folks from nearby villages, would accompany each other loudly with their week-worth of gossips and am/fm transistors and walk the trail all the way to tseung kwan o for morning tea and dim sum, then walk all the way back with replenished energy. this makes me feel inadequate. i wonder if they'd out-run me if they had streamlined nike wears.

Looks exhausting.

I'm with laoch! and to think I pay a trainer to help me work out! Perhaps I should move here and walk this trail every day?
